We are currently seeking at least 2 Automation Systems Engineer for a role for a growing systems integration company that is one of the leading automation companies in New Zealand.
This role will be providing service / maintenance support to customers remotely and on-site.
They would be working for customers servicing and integrating automation solutions in such industries as dairy, food and beverage, civil infrastructure and water treatment.
The role has the potential to grow into a role managing a service team.
This person must be passionate about providing support services to customers, be able to travel on-site where they will be troubleshooting and then developing solutions to fix issues with complex automation integrations.
You will need to have demonstrated ability to lead the troubleshooting of client systems integrations across multiple industries for manufacturing and process automation solutions.
The person must be fully conversant with a range of electrical procedures in the field of factory automation – design, programming, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, research and development.
Programming skills (PLC / HMI / SCADA) of 3+ years experience required with a variety of PLCs such as :
Rockwell - Allen-Bradley; ControlLogix / CompactLogix / MicroLogix / SLC series
Schenider M580 and M340
Experience with supporting programming for HMI and SCADA system :
Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE for SCADA and ME for HMI
Aveva Wonderware System Platform
Aveva Citect SCADA and Avea System platform
SCADA Platforms – Citect, IFIX, Ignition
Experience & Qualifications
A degree with Mechatronics courses OR Engineering OR related field OR
4+ years experience as an Automation Engineer delivering projects that required both PLC, HMI and SCADA programming.
Experience providing support on-site to clients working in a range of industries.
Must have experience supporting / troubleshooting systems, functional descriptions, configuring and fault finding historians / databases, SCADA development, remote alarming, Ignition / System Platform / FTVIEW SE, tool development etc.
Experience in the water, food, pharmaceutical or dairy industries.
Experience with multiple PLCs including Allen Bradley or Rockwell.
Travel within the greater Waikato area.
