Hit the road in your work vehicle and explore one of Aotearoa's most stunning regions while making a real difference in local communities.Secure your future in a permanent, full-time role based in Dargaville — where your impact travels far beyond the office.About the RoleIn this permanent, full-time role, you'll handle everything from managing dog-related concerns to addressing wandering livestock and compliance issues.
With a focus on education, enforcement, and investigation, you'll help create a safer, more responsible environment for everyone.What you'll be doingEducating the community on animal management and promoting compliance with legislation.Investigating dog attacks by gathering evidence and interviewing involved parties.Preparing legal files for prosecution and representing Council in court when required.Maintaining accurate records and effectively managing workload.Monitoring both sides of the Kaipara District, working closely with communities to ensure safety.This role includes a rotating 7-day roster with after-hours on-call shifts.
A company vehicle is provided for district-wide responsibilities.What we're looking forExperience in a regulatory role, handling compliance matters involving dogs, stock, and enforcement.Strong understanding of the Dog Control Act
