By utilising waste heat and byproduct gases from the ironmaking process, the station generates steam and electricity, meeting approximately 60% of the steel mill's electricity needs.

With further structured training and hands-on experience, you can progress to Panel Operator and Shift Supervisor roles within 5–7 years, supported by nationally recognised qualifications and clear career advancement.Our training program includes : The ironmaking process and integration with the cogeneration plantsSteam turbine and boiler operationsPlant monitoring and responding to process changesControlling boiler and cooling water chemistryReporting, troubleshooting, and carrying out fault finding and investigationsYour experienceReliability and motivation to work as part of a shift team covering 24 / 7 plant operationSelf-motivation and eagerness to achieve qualifications in Boiler and Turbine OperationsAbility to perform well as part of an effective team under pressureStrong technical aptitude – trade, engineering, or heavy industry experience highly regardedPrevious experience in Power Generation (or similar) would be beneficialWe are looking for a positive, enthusiastic and motivated individual who is looking to develop or continue their career in the Power Generation industry.Like what you're seeing?
