Electrical Trade Assistants – Solar Farm Project (Waikato)

Tradestaff is looking for Electrical Trade Assistants to join a large-scale solar farm project in the Waikato.

This long-term project will run for several months, with work starting soon.

It's a great chance for anyone with an electrical pre-trade qualification, or some basic electrical experience, to gain valuable hands-on industry experience.

What you'll be doing

Assisting qualified electricians with solar farm installation and wiring work

Running cable, connecting components, and supporting electrical fit-out tasks

General labouring duties on site where required

Physical outdoor work, including lifting and handling materials

Pay rates

$27–$29 / hr depending on skills and experience

What you'll need

Electrical pre-trade course completed, or relevant basic electrical experience

Photo ID (no exceptions)

CV and 2 recent work references we can call

Reliable transport and at least a restricted driver's licence

Fit, strong, and comfortable working outdoors in all weather

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, plus ongoing random testing
