About the Role :

The  HVAC & Refrigeration Technician  role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration cooling systems. From electrical components and advanced controls to system upgrades and compliance, you'll ensure local businesses stay cool, efficient, and safe. No two days are the same, and you'll have the chance to work on a variety of interesting projects, from new installations to high-end cooling systems and servicing.

What You'll Be Doing :

  • Installing HVAC and refrigeration / ventilation systems.
  • Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing issues to keep systems running smoothly.
  • Carrying out upgrades and retrofits to improve energy efficiency and performance.
  • Ensuring safety, compliance, and quality standards are met.

    • What We're Looking For

  • Trade certifications in HVAC and / or Refrigeration would be preferred.
  • We also support career progression - so if you have a year or more of experience in HVAC or as an Electrician, we can help you get your refrigeration and other certifications (see career pathway below).
  • You don’t need to be a Registered Electrician, but a bonus if you are.
  • A problem-solver with strong technical and diagnostic skills
  • Full NZ driver's licence (ideally manual + auto)
  • Great attitude, customer service focus, willingness to learn and grow

  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Refrigeration Certification (Servicing Refrigeration Coolers)  Specialist skills for maintaining commercial systems’ cooling and reliability.
  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ BWOF / BMS – for Building Warrant of Fitness Sign Off  Gain compliance and responsibility – a valuable credential for commercial projects.
