Work Experience : Minimum two years of relevant work experience.
Willing to work on weekends and Public holidays (Working days will be between Monday and Sunday)
- Overseeing kitchen operations to ensure they run smoothly
- Daily raw food preparation and seasoning
- Must cook Indian Curry and Tandoori dishes
- Monitoring the quality of dishes from basic preparation through to service to customers.
- Portioning and plating the food to ensure a great presentation to customers
- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs
- Ordering food requirements as per the menu
- Conducting stock takes and reporting to the restaurant manager
- Handling customer complaints and discussing them with staff
- Selecting, supervising, and training kitchen staff, advising them on cooking procedures.
- Ability to cater to any special dietary food requirements
- Must be able to use temperature-controlled equipment
- Ensure kitchen waste is kept to a minimum
- Ensuring personal hygiene and maintaining high standards of health and safety
- Reporting to work on time and reporting to the manager at the end of the shift
- Cleaning kitchen work stations before and end of the shift
