This is a unique opportunity to work directly under and learn from a highly experienced Head Chef.About the RoleThis is a full-time, permanent contract with a minimum of 30 hours per week, with a focus on afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts.

We are looking for an experienced chef, and the hourly rate is negotiable based on your skills and background.For the right candidate, we are willing to offer visa sponsorship.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs a Commis Chef, you will be a core part of our culinary team.

Your responsibilities include : Familiarizing yourself with daily menus, functions, and specials.Ensuring your section is fully prepared and stocked for service.Confirming all necessary stocks are on hand in the right quality and quantity.Cooking and preparing raw materials to the required standard.Ensuring each component of a dish meets our high standards and is delivered on time.Carefully following all recipes and instructions.Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including daily cleaning of all preparation and service areas.Adhering strictly to our Food Control Plan and all statutory hygiene regulations.Supporting junior staff and ensuring they follow correct procedures.Promptly reporting any stock shortages or maintenance issues to the Head or Sous Chef.What We OfferA competitive hourly rate, negotiable upon experience.A permanent contract with a minimum of 30 hours per week.Visa sponsorship for the right person.Staff discounts on food and beverages.Regular social gatherings with the team.The chance to live and work in one of New Zealand's most sought-after destinations.Requirements to ApplyExperience in a commercial kitchen is a must.Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.Your application will include the following questions : How many years' experience do you have as a commis chef?
