Woodend Hospital - Ward Housekeeper - Band 2An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeper to join the team within the Links Unit Woodend Hospital Aberdeen.
is a 22 bedded mixed rehabilitation unit caring for individuals who have undergone amputation or who are recovering from an orthopaedic injury / surgery.
We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills necessary to perform this role safely and efficiently.
You should be able to work using your own initiative and have an active interest in developing the role of the housekeeper to meet the demands of the department.
Successful applicants will be joining a well motivated and dynamic multi-disciplinary team who strive to deliver the highest level of care possible.
Responsibilities
To work as part of the ward team to support patient care and rehabilitation objectives.
To perform housekeeping duties to a high standard in a clinical environment, ensuring cleanliness, safety and infection control.
To use own initiative and contribute to the development of the housekeeper role to meet department demands.
Qualifications and Requirements
Enthusiastic, dynamic, caring and compassionate with a keen interest in Patient Rehabilitation.
Self-motivated and committed to delivering high quality patient-focused care.
Experience within a clinical setting is desirable, although not essential; supervision and support will be available to orientate you into the role.
Must be willing to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
Right to work in the United Kingdom (for non-UK / non-Irish nationals, confirmation in application).
