Hotel Porter

The Role | Te mahi

We are seeking a Porter to provide an exceptional level of service that exceeds expectations of our guests.

This is a Part-time role with minimum hours of 20 hours per week based at Sudima Kaikoura Hotel

Responsibilities | Nga haepapa

Assist with guest enquiries

Ensure guest messages, dry cleaning & bags are delivered in a timely manner

Communicate with DM or FOM of any issue / s that are raised

Assist Front Desk during busy check in and check out to ensure guests are receiving the best possible services

Record all luggage stored in an orderly manner

Keep the luggage store room tidy and accessible at all times

Follow any emergency procedures from DM when an emergency arises

Must be updated on the knowledge of all room categories and amenities

Hotel security floor checks

Regularly inspect the lobby and public areas to ensure that the standards of the hotel are maintained and comfortable for guests, visitors as well as employees

Commit to minimum of 20 hours per week

Ability to work morning or evening shifts

Full driver's license

Professional personal presentation and a great work ethic

Ability to work well within a team and build and maintain successful working relationships

Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise conflicting tasks professionally

Strong guest service orientation

Demonstrates initiative and flexibility
