Are you a strategic and hands-on leader with a passion for infrastructure and community outcomes? We’re seeking an experienced Operations Delivery Manager to join our team for between 7 months and up to 12 months for parental leave cover. This is a key leadership role with five direct reports, responsible for overseeing the delivery of Council operations, capital works, and routine maintenance.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage Council operations delivery, including capital projects and ongoing maintenance.Champion project management discipline across the Works and Services Team.Maintain and develop Council’s roading assets and network to ensure affordable, fit-for-purpose services for our community.Provide technical and administrative support and advice on roading and other infrastructure services.Plan and manage roading budgetary needs for Council’s annual and long-term plans.Plan, apply for, and secure third-party funding, including NZTA.Monitor, forecast, and report on assigned budgets for roading and other infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with third-party funder requirements.Oversee asset and network planning across Council infrastructure.Provide leadership and oversight of 3 Waters operations and planning.Actively contribute as a pro-active member of the Management Team, supporting strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration.About You :
Proven leadership experience in operations, infrastructure, or asset management.Strong understanding of roading networks, 3 Waters, and local government infrastructure.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to drive continuous improvement and foster a high-performing team culture.Experience in project management methodologies and delivery.Budget planning and financial reporting experience, including external funding applications.Tertiary qualification in Engineering.High level written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare accurate and comprehensive reports, strategies, plans and programmes.Experience in contract development, procurement and management.Advanced knowledge of MS Office suiteWhat We Offer :
