Reporting to the Chief Executive, the GM of Corporate Affairs steers and protects Napier Port's licence to operate across their vast internal and external stakeholder networks.
Your leadership will shape the delivery of their corporate engagement strategy, ensuring the voice, relationships, and engagement is on point to guide Napier Port through their next phase of transformation and growth.
Napier Port, listed on the NZ stock exchange, is a key gateway to world markets for importers and exporters across the central and lower North Island.
Situated on the main transit route for international shipping, they are New Zealand's fourth largest port by container volume and second largest by log export volume.

As a key member of the senior leadership team you will lead a team that ensures consistency and alignment of company communications with business strategy into delivery; with a scope that sits across a broad range of internal and external communications and corporate brand management, including investor and government relations, media relations and crisis communication management.
Community engagement and sponsorship, and supplier and contractor management services related to corporate affairs all sit in your remit.
This role requires deep expertise and senior level experience in corporate affairs, and corporate communications, ideally with experience in investor relations related to regulatory based environments including NZX and media liaison.
You must have outstanding strategic communication skills, with the ability to develop messaging that engages and creates influence across different audiences and channels.
A creative and collaborative mindset, balanced with a strong focus on delivery and results is essential in this environment.
Experience steering teams and leading leaders through transformation change and high-impact projects will be highly regarded.
