Class 5 Driver- Hamilton (Intermodal) AM Shift

The Opportunity :

Routes :  Hamilton region with occasional trips to Auckland or Tauranga.

Locations : Based out of our site in Rukuhia.

Hours : min 40 hours per week, full-time permanent positions.  AM shift (5am start).

What you'll do :

• Operate a Class 5 Container Truck for timely and efficient freight pick-up and delivery to multiple sites across Hamilton.
• Build strong relationships with our customers with friendly service.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and compliant.
• Accurately complete electronic reporting systems and other required documentation.
• Comply with all company / site policies and state and national transport regulations, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws.
• Adhere to all load restraint guidelines to ensure freight is securely transported.

What you will bring to the team :

• A valid Clean Class 5 Licence and Swing Lift certificate highly desirable.
• A minimum of 2 years’ recent experience operating Class 5 Skeletal Trailer Truck transporting containers is essential.
• Experience in Multidrop deliveries with a proven ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Experience with Skully Tipping, Swinglift, Truck & Trailer, Container Trailers is highly desirable.
• Sound knowledge of the Auckland / Tauranga Ports and Hamilton region.
• Excellent communication, time management skills and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• A comprehensive understanding of road, fatigue, and load restraint laws.
• Pride in the presentation and maintenance of trucks and equipment.
