Fleet Manager

Downer is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager in Hamilton to lead our vehicle and plant operations!

Our dedicated and high‑performing team offers whole‑of‑life vehicle and mobile plant management, from procurement, lease management and disposal to scheduled and unscheduled servicing, maintenance and defect management.

Key responsibilities

• Maximise fleet utilisation by providing informed advice and support to customers
• Foster a strong culture of safety and compliance
• Collaborate with Senior Management to align fleet operations with strategic goals and lead change initiatives
• Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships by understanding the customer base and providing regular updates to Senior Management
• Perform regular review of asset performance; identify improvement opportunities and manage maintenance schedules to minimise downtime
• Use data insights for operational optimisation

This is a key role within our Fleet Delivery team that services the Waikato region. Ideally you will be based in Hamilton to enable close working relationships with key internal stakeholders.
