Comsec Advisor

The role

We are currently on the hunt for a COMSEC Advisor to help ensure that GCSB network and NZSIS messaging services remain operational 24 / 7.

You will join a collaborative, friendly and productive team who pride themselves on being able to provide exceptional service to customers across the NZIC.

You will be a senior member of this team and once fully trained will become the subject matter expert in this area.

What you'll do

• Own the COMSEC Custodianship for both GCSB and NZSIS - you'll be the guardian of our cryptographic assets
• Be the escalation point for internal and external agency customers, delivering rapid, decisive support
• Monitor & protect the GCSB wide-area network, spotting anomalies and driving corrective action before they become incidents
• Validate and key all cryptographic equipment, ensuring flawless operation around the clock

Who we're looking for

We need a seasoned professional with experience in a technical role, and the ability to learn quickly and hit the ground running.

You will have exceptional problem-solving skills, top-notch communication skills and a results-oriented mind-set with a desire to never stop learning.

The expected appointing range for this position is between $87,048 - $92,851.
