We are seeking Cyber Security Advisors to help us build and maintain relationships with nationally significant organisations within New Zealand.

Your role will be to understand the cyber maturity of nationally significant organisations, delivering insights to both the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and its customers. This is not a 'technical position' - you'll help build the cyber resilience of organisations by facilitating collaboration across key sectors that support the economy. You'll produce and deliver presentations on cyber security; provide advice and guidance to help protect New Zealand's most important organisations and you'll help us build and maintain relationships with our key stakeholders in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the cyber maturity of nationally significant organisations and deliver insights to the NCSC and its customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with nationally significant organisations and key stakeholders in New Zealand.
  • Produce and deliver presentations on cyber security.
  • Provide advice and guidance to help protect New Zealand's most important organisations.
  • Facilitate collaboration across sectors that support the economy to strengthen cyber resilience.

  • Salary

    Expected appointing salary for this position is $103,009 - $109,876 with room for progression.

    Working within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.

    You must :

  • Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years
  • OR

    Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years

  • Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance
  • Ordinarily, this means you7ll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.

    Salary Band H $103,009 (90%) - $131,622 (115%). Midpoint of the salary range (100%) reflects full competence in the role.
