Job Description
As a Management Accountant for the Australian branch of Temperzone, you'll play a key role in providing accurate financial insights and supporting business efficiency. You'll analyse monthly accounts, liaise with management on financial performance, and ensure the integrity of general ledgers. Your expertise will drive profitability analysis, streamline reporting processes, and enhance internal controls. Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts to support financial decision-making.
- Liaise with management to identify and highlight variances from budget and previous financial performance.
- Oversee branch reporting and support sales and margin analysis for improved profitability.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of general ledgers, maintaining financial compliance.
- Conduct profitability analysis by customer, product group, and other key metrics.
- Manage subledger and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely adjustments.
- Provide financial reporting, including weekly, ad hoc, and periodic updates.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, including AP payment reviews and payroll checks.
- Support budgeting processes, preparing detailed models and collaborating with department managers.
Qualifications
What you will bring to the role
A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business, providing a strong financial foundation.At least five years of post-qualification experience, showcasing expertise in management and cost accounting.Hands-on experience with ERP systems, enabling efficient financial reporting and analysis.A background in manufacturing, with a solid understanding of industry-specific financial processes.Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, or CIMA, demonstrating advanced financial expertise.A commercially savvy mindset, balancing financial capability with strategic decision-making.Additional Information
