About The Role

We’re looking for a Management Accountant to join a well‑established organisation. You’ll be responsible for end‑to‑end financial accounting, producing high‑quality management reports, and supporting operational leaders with the analysis and information they need to make sound business decisions. This hands‑on role involves month‑end reporting and compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement. We are targeting a start date of mid‑January, so we encourage candidates who are in permanent roles to apply.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage monthly group management accounts in line with reporting deadlines.
• Review financial performance against forecasts, providing insightful analysis and commentary.
• Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations and maintain robust financial records.
• Oversee tax compliance, including GST and FBT returns, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Support external audits and assist with preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Evaluate and improve accounting processes and controls.
• Provide financial insights for ad‑hoc projects and business development initiatives.
• Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and other strategic financial planning activities.
