Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of tamariki with diverse learning needs? This role centres on working directly with students to design and deliver individualised programmes that meet their learning, social, and emotional needs as well as being part of the learning support team. You’ll be fostering each child’s strengths, supporting their progress, and helping them thrive in an inclusive environment. You will also work closely with learning assistants to ensure consistent support and connection across the kura.

We are looking for someone who :

• is passionate about teaching students with diverse needs and believes that all students can learn
• is eager to develop and implement personalised learning programmes that empower students
• shows a commitment to creating a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
• demonstrates flexibility in providing learning support, in core curriculum areas, adapting approaches to best meet each learner’s needs
• demonstrates cultural responsiveness and values the identities, languages, and cultures of our tamariki
