The Digital Data Tools area covers a wide range of the technical aspects of such tools, including building tools within Power Platform and SharePoint Online in the Office 365 ecosystem, web analytics, domain zone files, and website accessibility.
This role sits within the Corporate and Digital Shared Services branch which is responsible for strengthening MBIE's core data and insights, digital and technology capabilities to allow MBIE teams to succeed in their goal to build a productive and competitive economy.You will be responsible for building, testing and maintaining digital solutions according to best practice and government requirements.Nga pukenga me nga wheako e hiahiatia ana - Skills and Experience Required : Experience in developing, testing and supporting web-based solutions, using tools such as Microsoft PowerApps, to government standards of accessibility.Experience with HTML, CSS and Content Management Systems (CMS) such as SharePoint or Silverstripe.Knowledge of scripting / programming languages such as JavaScript or PowerFX, as would experience with Google Analytics, particularly GA4, and Google Tag Manager.Excellent problem-solving skills and creativity in finding solutions.An understanding of the key technical architectures, solutions, software platforms and toolsets used by the Internet.Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and on-going relationships across the Ministry.Ability to communicate technical issues to laypeople.Agility and flexibility in adjusting to differing work requirements across the ministry.You must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand and be able to satisfy the Ministry's security clearance requirements.
