Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating across New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Due to internal movements, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Freight Operator to join our team in Taupo!

Days and Shift

: Tuesday – Saturday, 2am – 1030am

About the role - Mo te turanga

You will be an important part of our team ensuring the timely, efficient, and safe handling of freight for the company to achieve their target delivery goals, on time and damage free.

The right candidate will be a friendly, energetic, and positive team player with a customer focused attitude and a reliable work ethic.

Additional key duties :

Load and unload all freight safely and securely, for both road and rail units.

Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently.

Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner.

Maintain good working relationships.

Communicate effectively within a team environment

To be successful in this role, you will be a team player with a positive attitude who is willing to change across duties as needed.

Additionally, you will need :

Clean Class 1 Full Drivers license – must have

OSH approved forklift certificate – must have

Prior work experience in the freight industry - preferred

Prior long fork experience - preferred

A strong health and safety focus

An understanding of dangerous goods laws
