Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating across New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Due to increased volumes, we have an exciting opportunity for a part time Parcel Sorters to join our Parcels division at our Auckland branch.

Shift :

Monday – Friday, 4am – 8am. Part time 20 hours per week.

About the role - Mo te turanga

You will be responsible in assisting with the safe handling of freight, achieve target delivery goals, and strive to provide an on time, damage-free service.

Additional key duties below :

Load and unload all freight safely and securely

Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently

Ensure documentation accompanying freight is complete

Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner

Action bay labels, re-stacking of damaged freight, protecting leaking product

Maintain good working relationships

Communicate effectively within a team environment

To be successful in this role, you will be physically fit, have excellent team coordination skills, and have some experience working with freight.

Additionally, you will need :

A clean Full Class 1 license – Must have

OSH approved forklift certificate - preferred

Prior work experience in the freight industry

A strong health and safety focus

Prior long fork experience (preferred but not essential)

An understanding of dangerous goods laws (preferred but not essential)
