Ākonga at Te Kura choose subjects based on their interests, accessing learning online supported by kaiako who guide, inspire, and drive engagement. Kaiako provide pastoral care and connect with ākonga through regular huinga ako — online or face to face — where learners connect and strengthen their sense of belonging.
We're looking for a kaiako to join our Southern region, who can manaaki ākonga to engage and achieve their goals within their personalised learning program. We are a kura who work across learning areas and levels to provide a one size fits one model. Te Kura is a unique organisation who supports the education ecosystem of Aotearoa | New Zealand.
In this role you will :
Kaiako at Te Kura engage with our ākonga online and face-to-face at huinga ako (advisories) and events, and also work onsite with colleagues in our regional offices. Te Kura aims to provide flexible working arrangements, so Kaiako are able to request to work from home for up to two days per week.
