Job Responsibilities
Support stakeholders in the administration of research grants, providing financial advice and guidance on accounting and finance policies and reporting requirements.
Ensure proper creation and maintenance of project accounts for reporting and compliance with grant terms and conditions.
Oversee the administration and accounting of research funds.
Ensure compliance with terms and conditions of grants awarded by funding agencies and grantors.
Support system implementation activities and process improvement projects.
Act as a finance business partner, providing financial advice and support to operating units and partnering with central finance officers to implement relevant procedures and policies.
Conduct reviews to ensure appropriate and timely follow-up action by operating units, focusing on long outstanding debts, dormant accounts, balance sheet accounts, and grant accounts.
Review master data accounts set up for operating units and maintain budget / fund monitoring mechanisms.
Ensure timely submission of fund requisitions and grant disbursements.
Review processes using data analytics for continuous improvement and participate in projects and assignments as directed.
Qualifications
Degree, preferably in Accountancy, Business Administration or a related field, awarded by a recognised university.
6 to 9 years of relevant working experience.
Good knowledge of SAP financial, project, fund and grant management systems, Power BI and RPA (advantage).
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented, resourceful, and positive work attitude.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Mature and possesses good interpersonal skills.
Experience with audit and controls procedures.
