Be the bridge between groundbreaking research and Singapore's new supercomputer system. As our CFD Domain Specialist, you will be the national‑level expert enabling key sectors like advanced manufacturing, aerospace, and urban sustainability. Your work will directly support researchers as they tackle Singapore's most complex engineering challenges from designing more efficient industrial systems to modelling complex urban airflow. This is a unique role to be at the centre of the nation's CFD research community, working at a scale that pushes the boundaries of the field.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide HPC and scientific domain advice to users of NSCC systems.
- Support and optimise large‑scale Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) application workloads.
- Work with HPC performance engineers to profile and build performance models of the CFD applications and workflows.
- Engage and collaborate with new researchers, communities, and disciplines with computationally intensive requirements.
- Design, develop and implement HPC software best practices for CFD applications and workflows.
- Assist in the planning and design of future HPC systems, including benchmarking CFD workloads on various platforms and recommending the most suitable architecture for the research community.
- Develop HPC utilities and automated testing tools for NSCC HPC systems.
- Develop HPC user and best practice guides for NSCC HPC systems.
- Get up‑to‑date with scientific domain research development, HPC system and software technology.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in the field of engineering, computer science, or other relevant areas.Ideally, 3 years of experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations.Experience in building CFD applications from source code.Good knowledge in CFD application performance optimisation and troubleshooting.Familiar with the working and using of CFD applications (e.g., OpenFOAM, Paraview) for research.Familiar with HPC development toolchain and scientific application (CFD) software stack.Familiar with Linux, scripting languages, HPC profiler and debugger tools.Familiar with HPC job schedulers, OpenMP & MPI, and container technologies.Familiar with HPC storage e.g. GPFS and Lustre.Programming skills in C / C++, Python, or Fortran programming are highly desired.Demonstrated team player with strong problem‑solving skills.Demonstrated effective communication skills including the ability to articulate technical concepts to a diverse range of audience.Demonstrated ability and willingness to contribute novel ideas and approaches in support of the research community.Demonstrated passion for continuous learning and exploring new technologies or#J-18808-Ljbffr
