The Role

We’re looking for a Product Designer who is equally skilled in graphic design to join our growing team in a product-led KiwiSaver business. You will create intuitive, human-centred digital experiences and deliver high-quality visual assets for our products resulting in complex financial tools that are clear and engaging.

As part of a small, cross-functional team, you’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver elegant, data-informed design solutions that drive customer value and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end product design — from discovery and ideation through to detailed UI design, prototyping, and handoff.
• User research & insight generation : Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and data analysis to identify pain points and validate design decisions.
• Experience design : Develop intuitive user flows and interaction patterns that simplify financial concepts for everyday users.
• Graphic asset creation : Design icons, illustrations, diagrams, and other visual elements to enhance product interfaces and user flows.
• Design system contribution : Develop and refine graphic components (e.g., iconography, imagery, patterns) within the design system for consistency across products.
• Interface design : Create clean, consistent UI components aligned with our design system and brand.
• Collaboration : Partner with engineers and product managers throughout the product development cycle to ensure delivery quality and design intent.
• Continuous improvement : Advocate for design excellence, usability, and accessibility in all customer touchpoints.
• Design system management : Contribute to evolving our design system and component library.
