About the role
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Social Work professional to take on a pivotal role supporting our tamariki and rangatahi. This position provides proactive management of child abuse and non‑accidental injury cases, reflecting our strong commitment to ensuring coordinated, interagency responses to protect children and young people. You’ll play a key role in strengthening the response to children admitted to or engaged with health services through our hospital. As the lead liaison between Oranga Tamariki, the Te Whatu Ora, and other partner agencies, you’ll work closely with health professionals and police to ensure a consistent, robust approach to care and protection. This is a strategic and influential role, focused on leading best practice, supporting collaboration, and driving continuous improvement across the region and nationally.
