You will also perform delegated patient care duties to enhance the satisfaction of the patient and housekeeping duties to provide a clean, tidy and organised environment.You will be working on a shift roster between Monday-Sundays.Bay of Islands Hospital is located in Kawakawa and provides care to the people of the Bay of Islands and the Mid North.

The 20-bed hospital provides comprehensive medical and paediatric services, with all the support services and also provides a substantial community health service.About youIdeally, we are looking for Health Care Assistants with previous acute hospital experience.

You will need to have excellent communication skills and who are patient, flexible, and adaptable.

You will need to work well under the direction and delegation of others and enjoy variety.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
