Edgewater College is a co-educational, state secondary school in Pakuranga, Auckland, offering a future focused, strength-based curriculum from Y9-13.

We serve a diverse urban community with students from a wide range of cultural, social and economic backgrounds.

We are looking for a passionate and inspiring teacher of physical education to join our PE team.

We are a 1-1 device school so the ability to integrate meaningful e-learning is also essential.

There is the possibility of teaching across learning areas within our innovation programme and / or other middle leadership roles alongside this position.

Responsibilities

Teach health and physical education to students in secondary years (Y9-13).

Contribute to a 1-1 device learning environment by meaningfully integrating e-learning.

Engage with the values of maia, manaakitanga and manawa reka, applying culturally sustaining and restorative practices.

Explore opportunities to teach across learning areas within the innovation programme and / or take on middle leadership responsibilities where possible.

Qualifications

New Zealand Registered Teacher

Fully conversant with the NZ Curriculum and NCEA requirements

NCEA teaching experience is a requirement of this position
