Start date : Term 1, 2026 (or by negotiation).

Ellerslie School is seeking an experienced and culturally responsive ESOL teacher (0.6 FTTE - equivalent to 3 days a week) to support our English language learners across the school. We are an inclusive community committed to equity, belonging and success for all ākonga.

The successful applicant will :

• Support small groups and individuals to develop English language skills
• Collaborate with class teachers to plan and deliver effective language learning programmes
• Maintain accurate ESOL records, assessments, and funding documentation
• Demonstrate a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally sustaining practice
• Build strong relationships with students, whānau and colleagues.

Experience or qualifications in ESOL teaching are essential. Knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and ELLP is preferred.

The start date for this role is the beginning of term 1, 2026.
