Job descriptionRelevant tertiary qualification, ideally with postgraduate studies in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Women’s Studies, or a closely-related field Proven experience in family violence specialist frontline work with a deep understanding of family violence dynamics such as coercive control, entrapment, and resistance Confident and skilled in training and facilitation Respect and knowledge of te reo Māori me ōna tikanga, with experience in kaupapa Māori approaches NZ Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (Level 4 or 5) or equivalent is preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Full, clean NZ driver’s licence Counselling and support through our Employee Assistance programmes Wellbeing support and resources for you and your family Discounts for a range of services and products, through our BOOST programme A reward each time you successfully refer a friend or family to work for PSN Formal recognition for your service from 5 years of service Kiwi saver contribution in addition to your base salary Apply to purchase up to 10 additional days of annual leave each year Mid-Senior level Contract Education and Training Non-profit Organizations
The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated trainer to deliver the family violence component of the FVSV (Family Violence and Sexual Violence) Training Package to the Ministry of Justice Court workforce nationwide. As part of the Shine Education and Training team, you will also facilitate training for professionals and community members.
This is a fixed term contract until Dec 2026
In this role, you will :
- Facilitate the FVSV Training Package for the MoJ Court workforce
- Deliver other Shine education and training programmes as needed
- Be available for extensive national travel
