We are inviting applications for a part-time Lecturer / Senior Lecturer (0.7FTE) in Psychotherapy to join the department of Psychotherapy and Counselling.
With the guidance of the Programme Leader and line management of the Head of Department, you will deliver teaching and learning experiences for students enrolled in the Psychotherapy programmes, including theory and practice courses, and experiential group process.
You will contribute to curriculum development, innovative learning design, and bicultural psychotherapy approaches aligned with AUT’s strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. There are also meaningful opportunities to pursue and grow your research portfolio, supervise postgraduate students, and collaborate on interdisciplinary projects
You will be part of a supportive, values-driven team that champions ethical practice, equity, diversity, and community connection—making this an ideal role for an academic who is passionate about teaching, research, and advancing the psychotherapy profession in Aotearoa.
Applicants will hold a relevant professional qualification in Psychotherapy and will have a strong clinical and / or academic background . Candidates will embrace the vision and values of the School and commit to ongoing professional development supported by the AUT staff development programme.
