Senior Project Manager, Buildings & Infrastructure (Auckland)

Play a key project delivery and leadership role in Auckland across the buildings and infrastructure project management field, where you will be a trusted advisor and project delivery practitioner. This is a unique opportunity to join the Beca Project Strategy & Delivery team based in Auckland providing strategic advice and leadership across project management including leading projects from initiation and the design phase, through procurement, consenting, and into construction and handover.
In this role, you will be applying your relationship-building abilities, along with your great communication skills, connecting across all parts of Beca and with our broad range of clients. You will understand project governance structures, risk management, scheduling, and construction contracts. Ideally you will have actively managed and led diverse teams including designers and contractors. Specifically, you will :
With a broad range of projects and clients, you will have a strong team at Beca to support you in project delivery. You will enjoy working closely with teams, to share your knowledge and experience to grow and develop others. To be successful in this role, you will have the credibility, confidence, and ability to operate across both small and large buildings projects. You will have demonstrated experience of 5-10 years in this domain, understanding the local market business and operating environment. Our client and project needs mean this role will not suit graduates or project managers in the early stages of their career. In addition, you will be a tertiary qualified professional with proven experience that is well aligned to providing consulting services in the construction project management sector.
You will be energetic and passionate with a bias for action, known for working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to make things happen. You will enjoy building relationships and understand key project requirements, leading people and applying commercial judgement. You will have demonstrated experience in design management, project planning and delivery, and strategic advice. Like us, you will also enjoy working with clients to solve complex problems to turn ideas into reality, displaying both a creative and logical mindset.
You will be a savvy, innovative and commercially minded professional with a collaborative approach. We also like to have fun along the way, so a good sense of humour will hold you in good stead.
