Support Services Assistant

We are looking for an energetic Support Services Assistant to join our housekeeping team, focused on maintaining high cleaning standardsThis is a permanent role offered at 0.5 FTE or 20 hours per week to be worked 9am - 2 : 30pm, Sunday to Wednesday.Specific duties include : Ensure cleaning and hygiene standards in your designated area remains consistent with hospital standardsAssist with the collection, transfer and disposal of hospital waste following best practice standardsMaintain adequate cleaning suppliesEnsure patients receive fresh linen, as requiredAssist with the safe transport of patients (if applicable)Desired Skills and ExperienceSkills and ExperienceExperience in a similar role would be preferred but is not essentialGood communication and interpersonal skillsTeam player with a professional and positive attitudeEnthusiasm and a proactive, flexible attitudeTo be eligible for employment at Mercy Hospital Dunedin, applicants will be required to provide vaccination history.Why Mercy Hospital?
