About the Role
As a Rollingstock Technician you will ensure our trains run safely and efficiently by carrying out inspections, servicing, and repairs on rail rollingstock, diagnosing faults and performing preventative maintenance.
You will respond to breakdowns, support upgrades and work collaboratively to improve fleet performance.
What You'll Do
Conduct scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance
Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs
Diagnose and rectify faults using diagnostic tools
Ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Respond to operational incidents, including after-hours callouts
Requirements
Essential Skills
Trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
Experience in heavy vehicle, rail or industrial maintenance
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
Commitment to safety and quality standards
Desirable Skills
Previous rail industry experience
Knowledge of rail-specific systems and standards
Welding / fabrication skills
