• We have a fixed term part-time position available as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency department, working across Monday to Sunday.You will join a highly skilled, and supportive team who manage the unique variety of emergency situations presenting at our provincial hospital.

This is an exciting environment in which to develop excellence in emergency nursing assessment and planning skills, with support of the emergency department staff.Our nursing team consists of nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, an emergency department educator, and a clinical coach.

In addition to the nursing support, we work closely alongside a team of senior and junior medical staff.

Located in New Plymouth, it serves as the primary healthcare facility for the region, providing a wide range of medical and surgical services.The hospital is managed by the Health New Zealand - Taranaki and includes emergency, maternity, mental health, oncology, and specialist outpatient services.Equipped with modern medical technology and supported by a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, Taranaki Base Hospital also functions as a teaching hospital, offering training opportunities for medical students and healthcare trainees.The facility has undergone significant upgrades in recent years to enhance its infrastructure, improve patient care, and accommodate the growing healthcare needs of the region.Home to pristine walking tracks, world-class surf breaks, renowned art galleries and museums, an iconic mountain, and endless adventures waiting to be explored.For more information on living and working in Taranaki click
