Registered Nurse Emergency Department New Plymouth Hospital, Permanent Part-time

Do you want to join a dynamic, innovative team in the emergency department at Taranaki Base hospital? If you have the enthusiasm for providing emergency nursing care in a well-supported environment, then this could be the place for you!

We have a fixed term part-time position available as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency department, working across Monday to Sunday.

You will join a highly skilled, and supportive team who manage the unique variety of emergency situations presenting at our provincial hospital. This is an exciting environment in which to develop excellence in emergency nursing assessment and planning skills, with support of the emergency department staff.

Our nursing team consists of nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, an emergency department educator, and a clinical coach. In addition to the nursing support, we work closely alongside a team of senior and junior medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ED environment.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessment and contribute to planning and delivery of care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including doctors, nurse practitioners, and educators.
• Support ongoing education and professional development within the ED team.
