If you have the enthusiasm for providing emergency nursing care in a well-supported environment, then this could be the place for you.We have a fixed term part-time position available as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, working across Monday to Sunday.You will join a highly skilled and supportive team who manage the unique variety of emergency situations presenting at our provincial hospital.

This is an exciting environment in which to develop excellence in emergency nursing assessment and planning skills, with the support of the emergency department staff.Our nursing team consists of nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, an emergency department educator, and a clinical coach.

In addition to the nursing support, we work closely alongside a team of senior and junior medical staff.ResponsibilitiesProvide emergency nursing care and patient assessment in a fast-paced ED setting.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including doctors, nurse practitioners, nurse specialists, and educators.Participate in ongoing professional development and upskilling in emergency care with opportunities to specialise in trauma, resuscitation, or triage.Contribute to a supportive, well-structured ED environment and patient flow planning.Qualifications and PreferencesCurrent New Zealand nursing practicing certificate (APC).
