Overview
I'm partnering with a respected building services contractor who has a significant project opportunity in the pipeline - and they're after an experienced Passive Fire Manager to lead from the front.
You'll oversee the full passive fire scope – from design review to installation, compliance, and sign-off.
It's a hands-on leadership role where you'll make key decisions, coordinate across multiple trades, and ensure quality workmanship and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities
Managing the delivery of passive fire and seismic systems across a large-scale build
Reviewing designs, specifications, and compliance documentation
Overseeing installation teams and subcontractors, ensuring correct detailing and QA
Conducting site inspections, preparing reports, and maintaining fire-stopping records
Liaising with clients, consultants, and main contractors to resolve technical challenges
Driving a positive safety culture and mentoring site staff
What's in it for you
A flexible remuneration package tailored to you – including full-use vehicle, profit share, and bonuses
A flagship project that will define your career
Autonomy, support, and recognition for your expertise
What you'll bring
Extensive experience in passive fire systems – design, compliance, installation, and QA
Strong understanding of seismic requirements and coordination across trades
A proactive, can-do attitude and proven leadership capability
Commitment to safety, quality, and high project standards
Full New Zealand working rights
This is more than a management role – it's a chance to leave your mark on a city-shaping project and be rewarded for it.
If you have the technical depth and drive to take ownership of a major passive fire package, I'd love to chat.
