NZSL Services Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join ourteam as NZSL Services Manager - a key role in shaping the future of NZSLeducation and strengthening access and inclusion for Deaf and Hard of Hearingakonga across Aotearoa.
THE ROLE / TE MAHI
The NZSL Services Manager provides both strategic and operational leadership of NZSL services nationwide.
This includes leading a diverse, bilingual and bicultural team to deliver high-quality NZSLenvironments and resources that support D / HH learners, their whanau and partnerschools.
This role reports to the Head of Regional Outreach Services and can be based in either Tamaki Makaurau or Otautahi.
You will oversee national NZSL programmes and initiatives, manage the NZSL@School budget and systems, and ensure continuous improvement through data-informed decision making.
Collaboration with Outreach leadership, Deaf communities and education partners will be central to your success.
Key responsibilities :
Providestrategic and operational leadership of NZSL Services and staff across NewZealand
Strengthenand grow NZSL environments for D / HH akonga through strong systems,partnerships and quality delivery
Embedrecommendations from the NZSL@School Review
Managenational NZSL budgets, resources, and data reporting
Leadprofessional learning and capability development for NZSL Services staff
You are an experienced educational leader with a passion forNZSL, Deaf culture and bilingual-bicultural education.
You thrive on buildingstrong teams and systems, leading through collaboration and ensuring positiveoutcomes for learners and their whanau.
YOU WILL HAVE / KEI A KOE
A Bachelor's degree in Education and full NZteacher registration
Knowledge and experience within Outreach Services
Provenexperience leading large, geographically dispersed teams (25+ staff)
Demonstratedsuccess in managing large-scale budgets and systems
Advancedor higher NZSL proficiency (SLPI : Advanced or above)
Acollaborative and culturally responsive leadership style
