About the Role
Exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist role in the Haemostasis Service (Outpatient Department).
The role requires you to manage patients with thrombotic conditions in partnership with Haemostasis clinicians, including peri-operative management and anticoagulation oversight in complex patients.
You will also work closely with Bleeding Disorders CNS and help coverthe care of patients with bleeding disorders during planned and unplanned leave.
There also will be future opportunities as part of service development for nurse led thrombosis clinics and protocol development.
Critical and agile thinking is key and being able to crosscover with the Bleeding Disorders CNS for planned and unplanned leave is essential.
This is a Monday - Friday role, 8 : 00am - 4 : 30pm and working days are typically Monday - Wednesday.
We have a small team of 1 - 3 staff and this role requires a high level of autonomy and liaison with the Haemostasis SMO's and other clinicians referring into the service.
About You
At least 3 years post registration experience in Haematology, or an area with peri-procedural experiences such as surgery or gastroenterology with a PG qualification.
Demonstrates skills in nursing leadership.
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships with a strong patient focus.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
