About the role
A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Allied Health Professional or Registered Nurse with proven management or leadership experience to join us as Clinical Manager of our South West Community & Community Rehabilitation Enablement Service Teams (CREST).
This is an 8 month fixed term full-time opportunity in Older Person's Health and Rehabilitation, leading two passionate teams of allied health professionals, registered nurses, assistants and administrators.
Working in a hub-and-spoke model, these services provide community-based rehabilitation delivered with an interdisciplinary approach, supporting our community in staying well within their own homes.
As Clinical Manager, you will be well supported by the broader team of Clinical Managers, the Service Manager, the Associate Director of Allied Health and the Nursing Director.
Responsibilities
Providing leadership to the community teams and engaging and motivating them towards organisational goals and visions
Contributing to the development and maintenance of clinical provision, policies and procedures
Working with the Clinical Team Leaders to identify areas for staff / team development and provide professional development opportunities where appropriate
Implementing and ensuring compliance to the standards of the organisation and having the responsibility for the department's budgeting and FTE requirements
Working closely with our team of Clinical Managers within Older Person's Health and Rehabilitation and working collaboratively on service improvement initiatives
About You
NZ Registration with a relevant Allied Health Professional board or NZ Nursing Registration along with current Annual Practicing Certificate
A minimum of 4 – 5 years' post-qualification experience
Demonstrated leadership ability with a passion for developing and motivating others
Previous experience in a similar position within a community setting is advantageous
A broad understanding of the health sector, particularly in relation to older persons health
As some travel is required in this role, a full NZ driver's licence is essential
