Work Location : Hamilton

Employment type : Full time (guaranteed 30 hours / per week, Tuesday to Sunday), Permanent

Our pay : $25-$27.76 per hour depending on skills

We are a well-established popular restaurant based in Hamilton

To enhance our team, we are now looking for 2 cooks to join our team.

We are expecting someone who has a passion for food, attention to details, ability to multi task and be a proactive member of the team.

Ideal candidates should have at least 2 year's work experience in cooking at commercial kitchen, or have a relevant level 4 qualification in cookery or equivalent certificates.

You are required to :

Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment

Checking ingredients to make sure the quality and freshness

Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in various utensils and grillers

Seasoning, portioning, adding sauces to the dish during / after cooking

Preparing food to meet client's taste and dietary needs

Storing and reserving food to the right temperature and facilities

Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.

Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Assisting in planning menus, estimating food and labour costs

Assisting with training and supervising kitchen staff whenever required
