Position Summary

We’re dedicated to improving the health and lifestyle of cats and dogs through quality nutrition and care. Opportunity exists for a Production Manager to join our Marton Factory, the home of TUX. The Production Manager will lead, inspire and develop manufacturing teams to maintain standards, achieve production plans within agreed costs, and drive continuous improvement toward best-in-class manufacturing.
A day in the life
Reporting to the Factory Manager and leading a team, key responsibilities include :
- Manage and lead Team Leaders in the production of Purina Petcare products.
- Ensure manufacturing processes are run safely to quality standards and cost effectively; allocate resources to meet requirements including those related to TGA GMP.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory authorities and the Company’s Health, Safety & Environment systems, policies & procedures.
- Investigate incidents and accidents and implement preventative actions to ensure a safe workplace.
- Budget management for Production Operations.
- Oversee all aspects of the Food Safety Management System related to the Department’s function, including execution of standards to meet compliance requirements.
- Ensure knowledge of Food Safety Audit requirements and implement compliance measures relevant to the function and across the Factory.
- Improve and responsibly manage water and energy usage in production operations.
- Drive GMP improvements and requirements for the production environment and site.
What Will Make You Successful
Join a collaborative team of specialists as a strong team leader with a drive to deliver quality outcomes efficiently and with a passion for continuous process improvement.5+ years in a supervisory or managerial role within an FMCG production environment.Knowledge in food manufacturing or Degree / Diploma in Food Sciences or Engineering.Proven ability to lead projects across different departments or functions.Experience in implementing continuous improvement and employee involvement techniques; TPM implementation experience.Experience in change management and continuous improvement techniques.Demonstrated ability to lead, train and develop a group of people; excellent people management skills with a continuous improvement mindset.Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, analytical and decision-making abilities.Applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment checks, including health checks, prior to appointment to this role.
