About the role

The Asset Engineer (Wastewater & Stormwater) leads the strategic planning and renewal of infrastructure to ensure reliable, sustainable service delivery.

Assessing network conditions via CCTV and field investigations, analysing asset data, and developing cost-effective renewal programmes.

Working closely with operational and project teams to coordinate repairs, renewals and support capital projects, including Treatment Plants and pump stations.

Managing inflow and infiltration investigations, preparing technical reports and project briefs, updating Asset Management Plans, and facilitating decision-making workshops.

Enhancing infrastructure performance, extending asset life, and ensuring compliance with environmental and service standards for long-term community benefit.

Do you have what it takes?

This is a busy role and there is plenty of variety.

You will also provide specialist technical advice on the optimisation of engineering assets, develop maintenance strategies and programmes for our assets and much more.

About You

Proactive team player with a degree in engineering or sciences, or equivalent experience.

Expertise in asset and contract management, developing works programmes, and writing Asset Management Plans.

Understanding of capital and operational accounting, asset depreciation, and engineering standards.

Experience in network analysis, inflow / infiltration investigations, and health and safety practices.

The salary range for this position is between

$113,490pa

and

$126,100pa

and the appointed starting level will be dependent on skills and experience and will be discussed during interviews with shortlisted candidates.

This a full-time 40 hours per week role.
