Since 2001, TBI Health has been helping people recover from pain, illness, or injury. In partnership with Southern Cross since 2016, we are committed to providing the right care at the right time, helping our clients get back on track and live meaningful lives.

We offer a supportive work environment that prioritises staff wellbeing, career growth, and opportunities to be involved in new services. At TBI Health, we foster an equity-focused culture where staff feel valued, supported, and enriched. As a New Zealand-owned company and Te Tiriti partner, we are committed to health equity for Māori and delivering quality healthcare for Aotearoa’s diverse communities.

About the Mahi (Role)

Are you a passionate Physiotherapist looking to grow your career and make a real difference?

TBI Health is seeking a part-time or full-time permanent Physiotherapist to join our supportive Invercargill team. We welcome both experienced clinicians and new graduates ready to kick-start their careers.

Based in the stunning Southland region, you will work within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team, managing a varied caseload across clinic, hospital, vocational, and community settings. The role offers flexibility and can be tailored to your interests – fully clinic-based, hybrid, or a mix. Weekend work at Southern Cross Hospital is required approximately 1–2 times per month.

Your work may include :

  • Concussion and pain management
  • Integrated Care Pathways (ICP)
  • Training for Independence and Early Intervention Services
  • Vocational Rehabilitation
  • Inpatient elective orthopaedic cover
  • Rest home and private hospital rehabilitation (including weekends)

You will deliver tailored, evidence-based treatment plans, collaborate with funders, employers, and colleagues, maintain accurate clinical records, and contribute to team development and ongoing learning.

We offer flexible working arrangements, a supportive team environment, and the opportunity to grow your career while making a meaningful impact on people’s lives.

  • Work in a supportive, multidisciplinary team in a vibrant rehabilitation setting

  • Centrally located clinic near cafes and Queen’s Park
  • Hear From Our Team

From Karen, Physiotherapist : I’ve only been at TBI for a short time, but so far have been really impressed with how welcoming everyone is. I love working in a small, local clinic, but it’s reassuring to have the resources and experience of a nationwide company behind you. The support from TBI is great, and there’s plenty of opportunities for further training. My small team is lovely and friendly, and they’ve helped me to feel settled really quickly. I’m looking forward to expanding my skills as a therapist in some new areas with TBI behind me.

    How to Apply

Submit your application online with a cover letter. Email applications will not be considered. All applications are treated confidentially. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds. If successful, we’ll contact you to arrange an interview and discuss any support you may need. Applications may be reviewed and interviews scheduled before the closing date, so early applications are encouraged.
