Marigold Service is based in Somerfield at Hōhepa Campus and is looking for a new Support Worker!

In This Role, You Will Be Supporting Two Women (Alice And Julia) Who Are Vibrant Older Ladies Each With Their Own Unique Interests :

• Alice is young at heart, she enjoys long bike rides and aqua gym as well as knitting, socialising and creating new Lego models. She enjoys learning about the world and practicing her literacy.
• Julia is busy lady who is independent and attends different activities and social events throughout the week. She is an accomplished artist and loves to dance, knit and enjoys window shopping at the mall!

Both ladies need support with household tasks, especially healthy food options and helping them to live full lives in their communities. We need a confident person who can build strong relationships and with the people we support, be empathetic, be patient, problem solve and apply boundaries or offer space.

Ideally you will be an active person who is happy to join and be involved in the ladies' activities. You will have the confidence to cook healthy meals from scratch and undertake accurate medication administration. You will be passionate about supporting people with an intellectual disability and helping them live a full life.

This position\'s salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level, pays between $23.50 and $29.10 per hour.

We feel that the title Support Coordinator better reflects the nature of the role, which requires working in partnership with the people receiving support to ensure we are achieving our organisation mission of every life fully lived.
