The chaplain provides essential pastoral care and spiritual guidance to students, their families, and the wider school community.Key responsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for inspiring and leading in these core areas : Spiritual Leadership : Lead daily morning Chapel Services (worship, prayer, faith stories) for students and staff.
Organise occasional Sunday services.Pastoral Care : Offer compassionate support, serving as a trusted confidant for students and families.Religious Education (RE) : Teach engaging, age appropriate RE classes, helping students explore Christian tradition and core values like belonging, caring, and serving.Community Engagement : Participate in school events, foster relationships with parents and staff, and lead community outreach initiatives.Qualifications and experienceWe are seeking an individual who is : An ordained Anglican priest and able to teach religious studies.Proven in pastoral care with Primary and Intermediate age children.Equipped with strong communication and interpersonal skills.Firmly committed to the Anglican ethos of Southwell School.Join our supportive team and make a lasting impact on young students.
