About the role
Your role within the team will be highly valued and the work you do will be instrumental in coordinating and managing various aspects of our programmes and projects in New Zealand and the Pacific; ensuring seamless integration and effective collaboration among team members.
Your position will see you support a growing team that will be delivering various projects in multiple Pacific countries.
This will allow for variety in your work, and provide you with the opportunity to get involved in a range of projects which could see you engaging with Pacific governments, industry partners, regional groupings and New Zealand government partners.
Responsibilities
Project management and tracking progress of initiatives.
Risk management and financial monitoring.
Producing effective communications and status reports.
Administration support including travel arrangements, event management and secretariat duties as required.
Managing contracts and processing financial invoices.
Coordinating and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, contractors and consultants.
Who are we looking for?
You will be someone who likes to navigate new waters and enjoys finding ways to be efficient and organised.
Open communication will be key in this role, as well as the confidence to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
You will also have a strong customer focus, understand business reporting and have strong problem-solving skills.
Being comfortable to self-manage and work independently will also be highly beneficial.
Qualifications
2+ years' experience in a role that has required a high level of administration and coordination
The ability to plan effectively and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and effectively manage changing priorities
Good technical skills and ability to learn quickly – experience using the Microsoft Office suite of applications including MS Project
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Before you apply

Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years
Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance
