About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga
We’re looking for a highly organised and collaborative Programme Coordinator to support the delivery of operational design and development initiatives. This permanent role sits within Te Pae Aronui’s Operational Design and Development team. As Programme Coordinator, you’ll work alongside initiative leads, managers and delivery teams to keep things running smoothly. You’ll coordinate team logistics, support governance and reporting, manage delivery tracking, and provide practical support across a wide range of initiatives.
Your work will help connect the dots across complex work programmes. Whether you’re organising engagements, preparing documentation, or helping teams stay aligned, you’ll play a key role in enabling progress and supporting design work that improves how education services are delivered for ākonga, whānau and educators.
You’ll join a fast‑paced, purpose‑driven team focused on system improvement, with a strong emphasis on equity and collaboration.
Salary range : $74,815 – $90,347 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

The Operational Design and Development group are the designers who shape how education services are delivered across Aotearoa. Within the group, our Delivery Team leads design initiatives to deliver solutions that achieve Government priorities and address identified operational challenges and opportunities. Our work is diverse in nature and we work at pace with people from across the organisation and externally. We centre the needs and experiences of ākonga, whānau, educators and communities. We work collaboratively to design systems, processes and guidance, so that education services are delivered more consistently, equitably and effectively.
