We have an exciting opportunity for a People and Performance Business Partner to join our Higgins Waikato Region.
As the dedicated P&P support for the region, you'll work closely with the Region Manager and Senior Leadership Team.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about coaching, builds trust, lifts capability, and empowers leaders to grow with confidence.
With strong people instincts and deep HR expertise, you'll guide effective conversations, influence decision-making, and foster meaningful relationships across the business.
You'll lead and support initiatives across employee relations, talent management, people strategy and policy, organisational development, workforce planning, remuneration, systems and analytics, while championing a culture of diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Advisor ready for their next challenge, or for a seasoned Business Partner seeking broader strategic exposure and deeper involvement in employee relations.
What you will bring to the role
HR generalist experience (3-6 years) in Senior Advisor or Business Partner roles.
Experience in Construction or Manufacturing is sought after.
Strong coaching mindset and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to influence and support leaders at all levels
Hands-on involvement in cyclical HR activities, from recruitment and performance management to remuneration and workforce planning
Comfortable driving change initiatives and aligning people strategy with broader business goals
Knowledge of HR systems, data analytics, and their practical application for smarter decision-making
Solid understanding of New Zealand employment legislation.
Experience in unionised environments beneficial but not essential.
Detail-oriented and highly organised, with a proactive and flexible approach to priorities
Passionate about continuous improvement and always looking for opportunities to enhance how we work
